The pomegranate tree speaks: “All trees - except me - wither in the meadow. I, however, blossom twelve months in the garden, for I am long-lived. Oh, may she spend the day most pleasurably in the hut made of reeds, in a sheltered place!” (New Kingdom, 19th dynasty)

Mark Polscher’s composition The Pomegranate Tree is a permanent installation for the newly built State Museum of Egyptian Art in Munich. The studio-produced music will be played back in all the exhibition rooms as a 64 channel projection and is divided into two layers in 7 "areas" with 13 "fields."

Mark Polschers Komposition The Pomegranate Tree ist eine permanente Installation für den Neubau des Staatlichen Museums Ägyptischer Kunst in München. Die im Studio produzierte Musik wird in allen Ausstellungsräumen über insgesamt 64 Kanäle zugespielt und gliedert sich auf 2 Ebenen in 7 "Gebiete" mit 13 "Feldern".
